"San Bernardo" Refuge
 
 
Welcome to our refuge, next to the Cerro Aconcagua (6972 m), in the Cordillera de los Andes, Province of Mendoza,
Republic Argentine.

We are located in the Cordón del Cerro El Plata (6100 m) and installed in the first refuge built in the place in the year 1942-43 to 2800 meters high.
        
     
 
REFUGE SAN BERNARDO (open and working the whole year):

With a surface of about 200 mē, a capacity of 28 squares, cooks free or elaborated in the place, 5 bathrooms, 5 showers, warm watter, chimney, electricity, reception of sign of cellular telephone:

Different activities that can be carried out where it is located the refuge and their surroundings:

• Ascentions: starting from the refuge that is to 2800 mts. up to 6100 mts.
• Aclimatation: It is a perfect place for the preparation of your expedition to the Cerro Aconcagua (6972mts).
• Activities: with local companies of trekking, parapente, climbed, rink ski, outside of rink and voyage, rafting, kite-surf, windsurf (lake to 30 min. in car), walks and cavalcades, trips.
• Camping: possible in land of the refuge.
• Rent: of material and mountain team.
 
     
 
Location:

The refuge is 15 minutes away from Vallecito's Ski Center, and placed 1:30 hs from Mendoza city; 30 minutes from International Route Nš 7 which unites Mendoza (Argentina) and Chile. You can arrive with any kind of vehicles and make auto stop to the tourists that come to visit us. Another option is the transfers services from Mendoza City.
